- Installation of automation equipment from blue prints on old and new products.
- Field design as required, from machining on site to finding local shops to perform more complex designs.
- Complete project wiring using schematics, block diagrams and customer specs. Including, but not limited to; PLC controllers, all relevant sensors, 480 VAC, 400 HZ input supply, PC interface, including remote access when applicable.
- Troubleshooting any and all, mechanical and or electrical issues to component and or board level.
- Proficient in Windows from MSDOS to Windows 7 installation and troubleshooting.
- Experienced in UNIX, Linux, SUSE, and Ubuntu installation and troubleshooting.
- Hardware/software installation/repairs and troubleshooting as well as upgrades.
- Local Area Network experience configuring and support of external peripherals.
- Comfortable in MS Word, Excel, Outlook as well as Open Office equivalents.
- Project management of entire field staff as well as vendors(on-site and off-site).
- Maintain project deadlines with multiple union staff when employed.
- Maintain and provide detailed daily reports of progress and inventory per job.
- Resolve any/all customer disputes/complaints to an amicable solution maintaining a professional approach with customers and vendors.
